Petrified Wood Slab - Pick Your Exact Piece, Polished, 7.5 or 8.5 Inch

Petrified wood is a tree turned to stone over millions of years, and a polished slab lets you see the preserved grain and earthy colors up close.

Use it as a small tray for rings or a candle holder, set a crystal on it as a display base, or lean it on a stand as natural art. Slab 01, about 8.5 inches long, is longer and thinner; slab 02, about 7.5 inches long, is thicker and more substantial. Each makes a meaningful gift for a nature lover, a history buff or a new homeowner. You choose the exact slab from the photos.

Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Slab 01 is about 8.5 by 4.5 by 0.5 inches, and slab 02 is about 7.5 by 4.5 by 1 inches.

About Petrified Wood

Petrified wood is fossilized wood that keeps the three dimensional form of the original tree. It forms when buried wood is infiltrated by mineral laden water and replaced mostly by silica, and most of its color comes from trace metals, especially iron.

Stone Meaning: Petrified wood is traditionally associated with grounding and patience.
