Blue Fluorite Crystal Cluster - One of a Kind, Square 1.5 In, 45 g

Square in outline and only half an inch thick, this blue fluorite cluster from China is a tidy, compact specimen.

It measures about 1.5 inches on each side, so it sits flat in a riker mount, on a small easel stand or in a gem drawer without rolling or tipping. The color is the reason to buy it: fluorite in blue looks different from the purple, green and yellow pieces that fill most collections, and it photographs well in daylight. It suits a mineral collector, a fluorite fan or someone who loves anything blue. The fluorite in the photos is exactly the one you will receive.

Plan on about 1.5 by 1.5 by 0.5 inches and about 45 grams. A ruler photo is included.

About Blue Fluorite

Fluorite is calcium fluoride, the mineral that defines hardness 4 on the Mohs scale. It is best known in purple, green and yellow, but it also occurs in blue and colorless forms. It splits cleanly along four cleavage directions, and many specimens glow blue violet under UV light.

Stone Meaning: Fluorite is traditionally associated with focus and clarity.
