A large slice of amethyst stalactite with a flat top edge, about 31 by 34 millimeters to 68 by 49 millimeters and around 45 grams, drilled at the top for hanging.
Hang it as a pendant, wire wrap it, add it to a crystal grid, or use it as a one of a kind drawer knob. The cross section shows the stalactite's rings.
Each slice is unique in size, shape and pattern; the hand photo shows the scale. Keep it out of long, strong sunlight to protect the purple.
About Amethyst Stalactite
Amethyst stalactites form inside geodes in volcanic basalt as mineral-rich water drips and deposits layer after layer. Slicing one shows rings of chalcedony and amethyst around the core, much like tree rings. They are well known from mines near Artigas, Uruguay.
