Amethyst that grew around stalactites hides a surprise: polish one side and flower and cell shaped patterns appear. These freeforms show those patterns on their polished faces, with raw crystal elsewhere.
Option 1 is a small desk piece, while option 2 is a chunky 4 inch specimen with plenty to study. Either makes an intriguing gift for a collector or anyone who loves seeing what hides inside a stone. No two show the same pattern.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Option 1 is about 2.9 by 2 by 1.25 inches, and option 2 is about 4 by 4 by 2.75 inches.
Amethyst stalactites form inside geodes in volcanic basalt, well known from mines near Artigas, Uruguay. When cut or polished across, they show bands of chalcedony and amethyst around the core, often in a star or flower pattern.
Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
