About Polychrome Jasper

Polychrome jasper, also called desert jasper, comes from the coastal deserts of northern Madagascar and was reportedly discovered in 2006. Jasper is an opaque, fine-grained form of silica with a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7, and iron gives it its red and brown tones.
