A deep purple agate geode slice, about 1.5 to 2.2 inches long and 0.8 to 0.9 inch across, with a large open center that is often lined with druzy crystals.

These slices were picked for their big center holes, so they wire wrap easily into pendants or thread onto cord. A few stacked in a dish or hung in a window also make a colorful display.

Purple agate of this shade is colored with dye, so keep the slice out of strong sunlight and avoid soaking it. Each slice varies in size, shape and amount of druzy.

About Agate Geode Slices

A geode is a hollow rock lined with crystals or mineral bands, and slicing one shows its rings in cross section. Agate is porous, so vivid purple, pink and blue slices are dyed to get their color.

Stone Meaning: Agate is traditionally associated with harmony and good luck.
