Large Amethyst Cluster on Black Metal Stand - Uruguay, 12.5 In

Tall, dark and semi polished, this Uruguayan amethyst cluster stands tall on its black metal stand.

At that height it holds its own on a fireplace mantel, a console in the entry or a credenza behind a desk, places where smaller crystals tend to disappear. The black stand frames the deep purple and keeps the eye on the stone. Semi polished edges give it smooth, shiny outlines while the crystals keep their natural faces. Choose it for a new home, a milestone birthday or an office opening, or as the centerpiece of your own amethyst collection.

About Uruguayan Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation. Artigas, Uruguay and the neighboring Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul are among the largest amethyst producers in the world, and there the crystals line hollow geodes in volcanic rock. Amethyst is the modern birthstone for February.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
