Tumbled Amphibole Crystal Cluster - One of a Kind, 4 Inch

Amphibole is a whole family of minerals, and this tumbled cluster gives you a hand sized piece of it to study up close.

Tumbling smooths the surface and rounds the edges, so the cluster is comfortable to pick up while the crystal structure still shows through. At about 4 inches long and 230 grams, it suits a desk, a windowsill, a mineral shelf or a pocket of space on an altar, and it is easy to pass around when friends ask what it is. It makes a thoughtful gift for a mineral collector, a geology fan or someone curious about lesser known minerals. This is the exact amphibole cluster shown.

The cluster is about 4 by 3 by 1.5 inches and weighs about 0.23 kilograms.

About Amphibole

Members include hornblende, widespread in igneous and metamorphic rocks, actinolite, common in greenschists, and tremolite. In the crystal trade, amphibole quartz is quartz with amphibole inclusions.
