Trolleite Rough Stone - One of a Kind Raw Blue Brazilian Crystal, 6 In #2

Rough trolleite shows the stone exactly as it comes from the ground, with shades of blue and brown left in their natural, unpolished state.

Polished trolleite gets most of the attention, but a raw piece lets you see the texture and the way the blue areas sit within the rock. At about 6 inches long, it is a good size for a desk, a windowsill or a mineral shelf. It suits collectors who like their stones natural, and anyone who loves blue but wants something less familiar than lapis lazuli. It makes a thoughtful gift for a rock hound or a friend who loves blue stones. This is the exact stone shown.

The stone is about 6 by 2 by 2.5 inches. Look at the ruler photo for scale.

About Trolleite

Trolleite is an aluminum phosphate mineral. The blue stone sold as trolleite, much of it from Brazil, is a natural mix of trolleite with quartz and blue lazulite, a magnesium iron aluminum phosphate. Lazulite is often confused with lapis lazuli, lazurite and azurite, but it is a different mineral.

Stone Meaning: Trolleite is traditionally associated with calm and inner peace.
