Light a small votive inside a selenite heart and the whole stone takes on a soft white glow.

Selenite is translucent, so candlelight passes through the stone and lights the heart from within; the dim lighting photo shows the effect. It holds a 1.5 inch votive, and its small size suits a nightstand, a dinner table, a bookshelf or a mantel. Several together make a warm grouping, as the photos with five lit holders show. The heart shape makes it an easy gift for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, a wedding table or someone you care about. Because selenite is a natural crystal, each holder varies a little in color, size and markings, and the photos are stock photos, so yours will be similar to the holders shown.

The holder is about 3.5 by 3.125 by 1.25 inches and weighs about 325 grams.
