Green Serpentine Semi Polished Point - Chunky 3.5 Inch #2

Some points are tall and slim; this green serpentine point is short, chunky and satisfying to hold.

At about 3.5 inches each way and 2.5 inches thick, it sits low and solid on a desk, a nightstand or a bathroom shelf, and it is a good size to pick up and turn in your hand. The semi polished faces bring out a green body with black specks throughout. Serpentine is a soft, carvable stone that has been used for ornaments for centuries, and it has a smooth, slightly waxy feel when polished. It makes a simple, thoughtful gift for someone who likes green stones, a gardener or a friend starting a small collection. This is the exact point shown.

The point is about 3.5 by 3.5 by 2.5 inches.

About Serpentine

Serpentine is a group of hydrous magnesium iron silicate minerals, usually green and often veined or speckled with darker minerals. It is soft, roughly 2.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale, which is why it has been carved for centuries and is sometimes sold as false jade.

Stone Meaning: Serpentine is traditionally associated with renewal and compassion.
