Uruguayan Amethyst Geode on Metal Stand - Semi Polished, 8.5 In

From across the room, this Uruguayan amethyst geode reads deep purple.

Dark in color and semi polished, it has smooth, shiny edges framing natural crystal points, and the metal stand holds it upright so the purple faces the room. It is a comfortable size for a bookshelf, a nightstand or a home office shelf, where it adds color without taking over. It suits a collector adding a quality amethyst, or makes a memorable gift for a February birthday, a wedding or a move into a first home.

About Uruguayan Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, colored by trace iron exposed to natural radiation. Artigas, Uruguay and the neighboring Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul are among the largest amethyst producers in the world, and there the crystals line hollow geodes in volcanic rock.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
