RK6-39
This selenite spear tip is polished smooth, with four sides tapering to a point above a small pedestal base. It stands about 4 inches tall, with a base about 1.25 inches across.
Place it at the center of a crystal grid, on an altar or nightstand, or group several on a shelf. The pedestal base keeps it steady and gives it a sculptural look.
Selenite is very soft and water sensitive, so keep it dry, dust it with a soft cloth and handle it gently; the tip can chip if dropped. Each point varies slightly in size and fiber pattern.
Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a hydrous calcium sulfate. With a Mohs hardness of only 2, it scratches easily and should be kept dry. Much of the silky white material sold as selenite is satin spar, the fibrous variety of gypsum.
Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with cleansing and calm.
