Six smooth faces taper to a point on this polished selenite spear tip, which stands on a hexagon pedestal base. It measures about 4 inches tall with a 1.375 inch base, and its silky white surface seems to glow in natural light.
Use it as a centerpiece in a crystal grid, set it on an altar or bookshelf, or pair it with the four-sided version for a matching display. It makes a peaceful gift for new homes and meditation spaces. Handle gently and keep dry, since selenite is very soft.
Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a hydrous calcium sulfate. It has a Mohs hardness of only 2, soft enough to scratch with a fingernail. Much of the silky white material sold as selenite is satin spar, the fibrous variety of gypsum. Keep it away from water.
Stone Meaning: Selenite is traditionally associated with clarity and cleansing.
How is this different from the round spear tip? This one has six sides and a hexagon base; the other has four sides and a round base.
Can I clean it with water? No, wipe it with a dry cloth; water can damage selenite.
Is it heavy? Selenite is fairly light for its size.
