The pendant is a piece of selenite with gold electroplated edges on a gold filled bail, and it hangs from a handmade chain of selenite and crystal quartz beads strung on gold filled wire and findings. The beads have a luminous shine that catches light as you move. At about 21 inches long and only about 50 grams, it is light enough to wear all day and long enough to layer over shorter necklaces. The warm gold tone and the white selenite go with both casual and dressy outfits, and the worn photo shows how it sits. It was handmade by a member of our team, so there is only one. About Selenite and Crystal Quartz

Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, hydrous calcium sulfate, and it is very soft at 2 on the Mohs scale, so it is best kept dry. Crystal quartz is silicon dioxide, hard and resistant to weathering, with a bright glassy luster that pairs well with selenite's silky look.
