Polished Uruguay Amethyst with Metal Stand - Dark Purple, 9 In

Polished edges and a dark interior: that pairing is what makes Uruguayan amethyst so easy to display.

This piece is semi polished, so the outline is smooth and shiny while the crystal center stays natural. The metal stand holds it upright and steady, which works well on a home office shelf, a dresser or a hallway console. It is a manageable size for a first good amethyst, and solid enough to look substantial. A new job, a birthday, or a quiet corner of your own home are all fair excuses.

About Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its color comes from trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Zambia are among the largest producers.

Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
