Halite is not always white, and this compact pink cluster shows it.
This small cluster is light and easy to place: a bookshelf, a desk corner, a crystal grid or a mineral drawer. Pink salt has a softer, warmer look than clear halite, and it pairs nicely with rose quartz or other pink stones on a shelf. It is a sweet little gift for a friend who loves anything pink or for someone just starting a mineral collection who wants a specimen with an easy story to tell.
Halite is natural rock salt, sodium chloride. It forms isometric crystals, mostly cubes, that split cleanly in three directions. Pure halite is colorless or white, and impurities, inclusions and flaws in the crystal can tint it pink, blue, purple, orange or gray. It is soft, about 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, and it dissolves in water.
Stone Meaning: Halite is traditionally associated with self love and emotional release.
