Black Obsidian Semi Polished Cut Base - Large

A large piece of pitch black obsidian, polished to a mirror-like face on one side, with shaved edges and a flat base. It measures about 4 to 6 inches by 4 to 6 inches, 2 to 6 inches deep, and weighs 1 to 1.5 kilograms.

Set it on a desk, bookshelf or entry table for a dramatic dark accent, or give it to a collector. Each piece has its own shape.

Obsidian is natural glass, and chipped edges can be sharp, so handle it with care and keep it away from small children. Dust it with a soft cloth.

About Obsidian

Obsidian is natural volcanic glass that forms when lava cools too fast to crystallize. It breaks with a curved fracture that leaves very sharp edges.

Stone Meaning: Black obsidian is traditionally associated with protection and grounding.
