Moldavite was born in a meteorite impact about 15 million years ago, and these earrings set that deep forest green glass in sterling silver, cut into softly rounded Reuleaux triangles.

About Moldavite

Moldavite is a green silica glass, or tektite, formed by the meteorite impact that created the Ries crater in southern Germany about 15 million years ago. Most finds come from southern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It has a hardness of about 5.5 to 7, and many green glass imitations exist.
