Quartz is one of the minerals Madagascar is known for, and this large cluster comes from there. Many crystals grow together from a shared base in one heavy specimen.
A cluster this size holds its own on a console table, a wide bookshelf or a fireplace mantel, where the crystal tips can be seen from more than one side. Each point has its own angle, so the piece changes as you walk around it, and the ruler photo gives scale. It suits a mineral collector filling out a quartz shelf by locality, or anyone who wants one substantial natural crystal for a living room.
About Madagascar Quartz
Quartz is silicon dioxide, one of the most common minerals on Earth, and it takes a brilliant glassy luster. Madagascar is rich in precious and semi precious stones, including rose quartz, amethyst and citrine, and agate, quartz and zircon are among the island's major mineral extractions. A crystal attached to rock, as in a cluster, shows only one pointed end.
Stone Meaning: Quartz is traditionally associated with clarity and focus.
