About Amethyst Wings

Amethyst wings are tall slices of a large amethyst geode, cut so each half stands upright with its crystal lining facing out. Amethyst is purple quartz colored by trace iron and natural radiation, and geodes large enough for wings come mainly from Brazil and Uruguay, where they form inside gas cavities in ancient volcanic rock.
