Got a narrow ledge that could use something natural?
Salt is about as familiar as it gets, and this halite cluster shows it the way few people have seen it, as a long, slim crystal growth. The narrow, thin shape suits shallow spaces: a picture ledge, a windowsill shelf in a dry room, a shadow box or the front edge of a cabinet. It is light, so it needs no special stand, and its length gives it more visual reach than the weight suggests. Gift it to a chemistry buff, a home cook or a geology hobbyist.
About Halite
Halite is natural rock salt, sodium chloride. It forms isometric crystals, mostly cubes, that split cleanly in three directions. Pure halite is colorless or white, and impurities, inclusions and flaws in the crystal can tint it pink, blue, purple, orange or gray. It is soft, about 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, and it dissolves in water.
Stone Meaning: Halite is traditionally associated with self love and emotional release.
