Green Apophyllite with Peach Stilbite Cluster - One of a Kind, 5 In

Color contrast is the reason green apophyllite and peach stilbite make a classic mineral pairing.

The green apophyllite crystals and the soft peach of the stilbite sit together in one chunky cluster that looks full from the front, the sides and above. That shape makes it a good centerpiece for a display shelf or a side table rather than a piece you tuck behind others. The glassy apophyllite and the softer stilbite also give two different lusters to look at. It suits an apophyllite fan ready to add color, or a gift for someone who decorates with greens and warm neutrals.

About Apophyllite and Stilbite

Apophyllite is a phyllosilicate mineral that forms glassy, prismatic crystals and is found in the gas pockets of basalt. Stilbite is a zeolite that often grows in sheaf or bow tie shaped bundles, usually white but also salmon to peach. The Deccan Traps basalts of India are a prolific source, known for salmon pink stilbite alongside pale green apophyllite near Mumbai and Pune. Stilbite is soft, 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale.

Stone Meaning: Apophyllite is traditionally associated with clarity and spiritual growth.
