Fuchsite Free Form Crystal Cut Base - One of a Kind Green Mica, 7.75 In

This fuchsite free form is a slab of green chrome mica with a flat cut base, so it stands upright on a shelf without a holder.

Fuchsite is mica colored by chromium, and that is where its sparkle comes from: thousands of tiny mica flakes catch the light as you walk past. The shades run from medium to pale green, which sits nicely with plants, wood and white decor. At nearly 8 inches wide and over 3 kilograms, it has real presence on a mantel, a bookshelf, an altar or a meditation table, and it is a generous size for crafting or display. It makes a thoughtful gift for a gardener, a housewarming or anyone drawn to green stones. This is the exact piece shown.

The free form is about 7.75 by 6.5 by 2.5 inches and weighs about 3.4 kilograms. Fuchsite is soft, so the care note below explains how to keep it looking its best.

About Fuchsite

Fuchsite is a chromium rich variety of muscovite mica, sometimes called chrome mica. The chromium gives it its green color and sparkle. It is very soft, about 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs scale, so it is a decorative stone rather than a hard wearing one.

Stone Meaning: Fuchsite is traditionally associated with compassion and renewal.
