Elestial Alligator Smoky Quartz Crystal - One of a Kind, Over 6 Lb, 9 In

For a collector who already owns the usual points and clusters, an elestial alligator smoky quartz is the next step up.

This crystal combines three features in one piece: the layered, terraced faces of elestial quartz, the scaly, naturally etched surface of alligator quartz, and the warm brown of natural smoky quartz. Turn it under a lamp and a small rainbow shows inside the crystal, captured in one of the close up photos. It lies long and low, so it reads best on a coffee table, a wide console or a lit shelf where the texture can be seen from above. At this size and grade it is a centerpiece for a serious quartz collection, or a gift that marks a milestone.

About Elestial Alligator Quartz

Elestial is a market name for skeletal quartz, which forms in unusually saturated conditions when crystal edges grow faster than the faces, leaving recessed, layered faces. Alligator quartz, also sold as jacare, is a trade name for smoky quartz with a surface texture created by natural etching. Smoky quartz gets its brown color from natural radiation acting on trace aluminum.

Stone Meaning: Smoky quartz is traditionally associated with grounding and calm.
