Look closely and you can trace how these quartz crystals grew, outlined in dark phantoms inside the clear stone. These pieces show black inclusions, described as carbon, that trace the crystal's growth stages.

They are fascinating collector pieces for a well lit shelf, study or office, where guests can lean in and spot the phantoms. A specimen like this makes a meaningful gift for someone who loves the story behind a stone.

Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Piece 01 is about 8.5 by 6.5 by 3 inches, and piece 02 is about 5.5 by 3 by 4 inches. Each piece is one of a kind.

About Phantom Quartz

A phantom forms when a growing quartz crystal pauses and a thin layer of another material settles on its faces. When growth resumes, clear quartz covers that layer, leaving a ghostly outline inside. Black phantoms are often attributed to carbon or other dark minerals. Quartz has a hardness of 7.

Stone Meaning: Phantom quartz is traditionally associated with growth and reflection.
