Blue Fluorite Crystal Cluster - One of a Kind, Chunky 1.75 In, 50 g #6

Small, chunky and solidly blue, this fluorite cluster from China packs a lot into a compact shape.

It is about 1.75 inches long but also 1.5 inches deep, so it has a fuller, three dimensional form instead of a flat plate, and it shows crystals from more than one side. That makes it a nice piece to turn in your hand or set in a small display case where it can be seen from several angles. Collectors who already own the familiar purple and green fluorites often add a blue one for contrast, and it is an easy gift for a mineral lover. The cluster you see is the cluster you will receive.

Size: about 1.75 by 1 by 1.5 inches. Weight: about 50 grams. Check the ruler photo for scale.

About Blue Fluorite

Fluorite is calcium fluoride, the mineral that defines hardness 4 on the Mohs scale. It is best known in purple, green and yellow, but it also occurs in blue and colorless forms. It splits cleanly along four cleavage directions, and many specimens glow blue violet under UV light.

Stone Meaning: Fluorite is traditionally associated with focus and clarity.
