Black Tourmaline in Crystal Quartz Giant Sphere - One of a Kind, 6.25 In

Some crystals decorate a shelf; this black tourmaline in quartz sphere anchors a whole room.

Dark tourmaline runs through bright quartz in a pattern that keeps changing as you walk around it, so it looks just as good on a pedestal in an entryway as it does on a coffee table or a reception desk. It suits modern, industrial and gothic interiors alike. For a collector, it is a true centerpiece; as a gift, it marks a big occasion such as a new home, a business opening or a retirement. This is the exact sphere shown.

The sphere is about 6.25 inches in diameter and about 6.5 inches tall, measured without a stand.

About Black Tourmaline

Tourmaline is a large group of boron silicate minerals, and schorl, the black variety, is the most common. It grows as long prismatic crystals that are often striated, and when it forms within quartz, the two minerals create a strong black and white contrast.

Stone Meaning: Black tourmaline is traditionally associated with grounding and protection.

Add a Sphere Stand

A sphere this size deserves a sturdy base that keeps it steady and shows it off. Browse our crystal sphere stands and holders and choose a metal or brass style sized for its diameter, or a carved wood stand for a warmer look.
