Black Obsidian Sphere - One of a Kind Highly Polished Crystal Ball, 3 In

Black obsidian polishes to a deep, mirror like shine, which is why it has long been used for scrying and reflective display.

This highly polished sphere looks sleek and dramatic on a desk, a bookshelf or an altar, and it suits modern, gothic and minimalist rooms. At about 3 inches, it is a comfortable size to hold, and its dark surface reflects the room around it. It makes a thoughtful gift for a tarot reader, a lover of dark decor or anyone starting a sphere collection. This is the exact sphere shown.

The sphere is about 3 by 3 inches. Look through the photos to see its shine. Because it is glass, it feels cool and smooth in the hand.

About Obsidian

Obsidian is natural volcanic glass, formed when lava cools too quickly for crystals to grow. It polishes to a mirror shine, and any sheen comes from light reflecting off tiny inclusions. Because it is glass, it can chip if knocked.

Stone Meaning: Black obsidian is traditionally associated with grounding and protection.

Add a Sphere Stand

A stand keeps a sphere from rolling and lifts it into view, so it looks finished on a shelf, desk or altar. Pick one from our crystal sphere stands and holders, with carved wood, brass, metal and clear acrylic styles. Check the stand size against the sphere diameter for a secure fit.
