About Amazonite

Amazonite is the green to blue green variety of microcline feldspar, and its color is thought to come from trace lead. It is often streaked with white quartz or feldspar. It measures 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, and notable sources include Colorado, Brazil, Madagascar, Norway and Russia.
