Alligator Smoky Quartz Crystal Cluster - Raw Stone, One of a Kind, 3 In

Collectors call this kind of ridged smoky quartz alligator quartz, and this raw cluster shows why.

This raw smoky quartz cluster shows that texture across its crystals, with brown smokey tones throughout, and it has been left in its natural state rather than cut or polished. At about 3 by 1.5 by 2 inches, it is a small, easy piece to place on a desk, a nightstand or a shelf of mixed minerals. The texture forms when crystal edges grow faster than the faces, a habit known as skeletal or elestial quartz. Smoky quartz is the national gemstone of Scotland, where it goes by the name cairngorm. Someone who prefers raw, unshaped stones will appreciate it, and it makes an easy thank you gift. You get this exact cluster.

Approximate size: 3 by 1.5 by 2 inches. There is a ruler photo to show scale.
