A small, polished agate slice with a sparkling druzy center, in bright blue, teal and green, or pink and purple. Slices measure about 20 by 15 millimeters to 40 by 26 millimeters and weigh around 10 grams.

The small size is perfect for wire-wrapped pendants, earrings, resin work and mini decor. Collect several colors for a rainbow display, or add them to gift boxes. The colors are dyed, and every slice has its own shape and crystal pattern.

About Agate

Agate is a translucent, banded variety of microcrystalline quartz, rated 7 on the Mohs scale. Its bands form as silica is deposited layer by layer inside a rock cavity. Agate is slightly porous, so it takes dye well, which is how most vividly colored agate carvings and decor pieces in the trade are made.
