Here the green tourmaline is still attached to the rock it grew in. Each piece in this one-pound bag shows green crystals embedded in their natural matrix, which is how tourmaline looks before it is cut or polished.

Collectors can pick out the best specimens for display, while jewelry makers can use smaller pieces for raw wire-wrapped pendants. Every piece is different, so a bag gives you a range to choose from.

Stone Meaning: Green tourmaline is traditionally associated with compassion and the heart.
