Lepidolite and tourmaline often grow side by side, and this piece shows them together. Glittering lilac star mica forms rounded, bubbly masses, with bits of watermelon tourmaline tucked in.
The mica sparkles every time the light shifts, so it is a lovely piece to keep on a nightstand or dresser. Give it to someone who loves lavender tones or quirky natural textures, or add it to a collection of lithium minerals.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Option 1 is about 3.5 by 3 by 1.25 inches, and option 2 is about 3.5 by 2 by 1.5 inches.
Lepidolite is a lithium bearing mica and the most abundant lithium mineral. Its lilac to pink color comes from trace manganese. Like other micas it is soft, with a hardness of 2.5 to 3, and it flakes easily. Star mica refers to its starburst shaped crystals.
Stone Meaning: Lepidolite is traditionally associated with calm during change.
