Dense, speckled and polished to a deep shine, Que Sera rhyolite shows flecks of blue quartz and feldspar scattered through the volcanic stone.
Stand one on a desk, bookcase or entry table, or give it to a collector who likes unusual stones. The tall points make an impressive statement, while the smaller one suits a desk or nightstand. Sunlight brings out the glow of the blue quartz grains.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Points range from about 4 to 9 inches tall, and each size is listed below.
Que Sera is a trade name for a variety of rhyolite from Brazil; similar material from Llano County, Texas, is called llanite. Rhyolite is a silica rich volcanic rock, the extrusive equivalent of granite, and Que Sera contains quartz, feldspar, kaolinite and iron oxides, with blue quartz grains that seem to glow in sunlight.
Stone Meaning: Rhyolite is traditionally associated with creativity and connection to the earth.
