Ocean jasper comes from just one stretch of coastline in northern Madagascar, where it is reached by boat and worked at low tide.
These eight towers show its mix of sea green, brown, white and red, carved and polished into obelisk shapes by artisans from Brazil, so each one carries its own pattern of color. The sizes run from about 3.75 inches for options 1 and 2 up to about 5.75 inches for option 5, so you can choose a small desk piece or a taller shelf tower. The in hand photo of option 4 shows how a 5 inch tower sits in the hand. They make a thoughtful gift for a beach lover, a jasper collector or anyone drawn to earthy ocean tones. Every tower is photographed and labeled, so you are not choosing blind. You choose the exact piece from the photos.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Towers range from about 3.75 by 1.25 by 1 inches (option 1) to about 5.75 by 1.75 by 1 inches (option 5).
Ocean jasper is a silicified rhyolite known for round orbs, or eyes, in many colors. It is mined from a single coastal location on the Ambolobozo Peninsula of northern Madagascar, reached by boat and worked at low tide. Like other jaspers, it is a hard, opaque silica stone that takes a good polish.
Stone Meaning: Ocean jasper is traditionally associated with joy and renewal.
