Some minerals are best appreciated in bulk, and kyanite is one of them.
This cluster is a large, raw chunk packed with kyanite's long bladed crystals. At this scale the blades read as texture from across the room and as fine detail up close, so it holds attention on a credenza, a hearth or a showroom plinth. A specimen this size is something a serious collector or a designer furnishing a lobby would plan a space around.
Kyanite is an aluminum silicate that grows in long, bladed crystals, most often blue. It forms in metamorphic rocks such as mica schist and gneiss under high pressure, and its name shares a root with the color cyan, from the Greek kyanos, dark blue. Its hardness changes with direction, softer along the blade than across it.
Stone Meaning: Kyanite is traditionally associated with alignment and communication.
