This cluster stretches out lengthwise, with lilac lepidolite points spread across natural quartz from end to end.
Semi polished lepidolite shows several shades of light purple, and the mica flakes add a soft shimmer that changes with the angle of the light. The ruler photo shows the height clearly. Its long, generous shape makes a strong centerpiece for a coffee table, mantel or reading room shelf. It suits a purple lepidolite collector, or anyone setting up a calm, purple themed space.
Lepidolite is found in pegmatites alongside other lithium minerals such as spodumene, and in high temperature quartz veins, greisens and granite. It is the most abundant lithium bearing mineral and a secondary source of lithium, and like all micas it is soft, about 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale.
Stone Meaning: Lepidolite is traditionally associated with calm and transition.
