About Lemurian Quartz

Lemurian quartz is quartz with horizontal growth striations on alternating prism faces. It was first marketed in the late 1990s from Serra do Cabral in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and some Brazilian specimens carry a tangerine colored iron oxide coating. It has a hardness of 7.
