Few quartz pieces make an entrance quite the way a giant cluster does. This one of a kind lodolite cluster, also spelled lodalite and called garden quartz, rises from a bed of many small points to two large points filled with inclusions.
Garden quartz gets its name from the mineral inclusions inside the clear crystal, which can read as small landscapes when you look into the points, and the two large points here give you plenty of room to explore them. At about 10 by 8.5 inches and 9.6 inches tall, and over 24 pounds, it is a centerpiece for a console table, a living room shelf, a reception area or a meditation room rather than a desk accent. It is heavy, so plan on a sturdy surface. The close up photo shows the inclusions in detail, and the back and side views show the whole cluster from every angle. It would make a memorable gift for a quartz collector or a milestone such as a housewarming or retirement. This is the exact cluster shown.
The cluster is about 10 by 8.5 by 9.625 inches tall and weighs about 11.2 kilograms (24 lb 10 oz). Look at the ruler photo for scale.
Lodolite, also spelled lodalite and called garden quartz or scenic quartz, is clear quartz with mineral inclusions that resemble landscapes or gardens. Green tones in the inclusions come from chlorite, while red, brown and yellow tones come from hematite and goethite. Minas Gerais, Brazil is the principal source.
Stone Meaning: Lodolite is traditionally associated with reflection and inner journeys.
