About Elestial Alligator Quartz
Elestial is a market name for skeletal quartz, which forms in unusually saturated conditions when crystal edges grow faster than the faces, leaving recessed, layered faces. Alligator quartz, also sold as jacare, is a trade name for smoky quartz with a surface texture created by natural etching. Smoky quartz gets its brown color from natural radiation acting on trace aluminum.
