Our finest azurite and malachite specimens are here, graded AAA, our highest grade. Intense azure crystals and rich green malachite cover the natural matrix.
A piece like this anchors a serious mineral collection or becomes the centerpiece of a study or office. It is a memorable gift for a geologist, an artist who loves bold color or a collector marking a milestone. The deep blue looks especially vivid under a warm spotlight.
Each numbered option is pictured on its own, so the piece you see is the piece you receive. Specimen 1 is about 5 by 3.25 by 2.75 inches and 585 grams; 2 about 5.5 by 4.25 by 2.75 inches and 950 grams; 3 about 6.9 by 4.1 by 3.75 inches and 1.14 kilograms; 4 about 8.6 by 3.5 by 4.1 inches and 1.82 kilograms.
Azurite and malachite are both copper carbonate minerals that form together in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. Azurite, named for its azure blue, slowly weathers into green malachite. Both are soft, with a hardness of 3.5 to 4.
Stone Meaning: Azurite is traditionally associated with insight, and malachite with transformation.
