One upright rough aquamarine, flecked with mica, is all a quiet corner of a room needs.
This large natural crystal stands about 8.5 inches tall, and the mica growing with it adds a pearly glint against the aquamarine. It has a light, understated look that blends into a bookshelf, a nightstand or a windowsill arrangement rather than shouting for attention. The front, back and side views, plus photos with a hand and with a ruler, give an honest sense of its size. Aquamarine and mica are both typical of granite pegmatites, so the pairing is a natural one. It suits a March birthday or anyone who prefers raw stones to polished ones. The crystal in the photos is the one you will receive.
Height is about 8.5 inches, and the other two dimensions are about 5.75 and 4.375 inches.
Mica and aquamarine both turn up in granite pegmatites, where quartz, feldspar and mica are the most common minerals, so finding them together is no surprise. Aquamarine is the blue to greenish blue form of beryl and the March birthstone, and mica is a group of sheet silicates; muscovite is the most common.
Stone Meaning: Aquamarine is traditionally associated with calm and courage.
