Length is what sets this aquamarine specimen apart.
This giant aquamarine crystal sits embedded in large natural rough stone, and the piece stretches about 13 inches long, with a width and height of about 6.5 inches each. That long profile works across a mantel, along a sideboard or down the center of a dining table, and the back, front and close up views show the crystal and the matrix around it from several angles. For a geology lover, a beryl collector or a March birthday, it is a centerpiece that starts conversations. It is a one of a kind piece, left in its natural rough stone. You get this exact aquamarine.
Dimensions: about 13 by 6.5 by 6.5 inches tall.
Aquamarine is greenish blue to blue gem beryl, about 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, and its color comes from iron. It grows mostly in granite pegmatites, coarse rocks rich in quartz, feldspar and mica, and Brazil has led world production of gem aquamarine for more than a century.
Stone Meaning: Aquamarine is traditionally associated with calm and courage.
