Each fossil is polished to bring out its color and pattern, and sizes run from about 49 to 60 millimeters across, so it sits comfortably in the palm.
About Ammonites
Ammonites were coiled-shell marine animals, more closely related to octopus and squid than to the nautilus. Their shells were divided into chambers by walls with intricate suture patterns, and they died out at or shortly after the end-Cretaceous extinction about 66 million years ago.
Stone Meaning: Ammonite is traditionally associated with stability and change.
