A flawless tip is not what earns a crystal its place on a shelf.
This amethyst geode point is sold as is because there is a large chip on the tip, and we want you to know that plainly before you buy. Beyond the chip, it has polished faces, a natural druzy edge from the geode wall and a cool gray blue purple color. It is also a big point, about 6.5 inches tall and 4 inches wide, so it still has plenty of presence on a shelf. If you plan to display it among plants, on an altar or turned slightly so the body faces forward, the chip matters much less. Look closely at the photos to judge the chip yourself. You get this exact amethyst point.
The point is about 6.5 inches high, 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep, and a ruler photo shows the proportions.
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its color comes from trace iron exposed to natural radiation, and it is the modern birthstone for February. Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Zambia are among the largest producers.
Stone Meaning: Amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and balance.
