Polishing a chevron amethyst point brings out the purple and white bands that meet in V shaped angles, and this one shows them clearly.
It is small enough to sit in your palm, which makes it easy to keep on a desk, in a meditation corner or beside a bed, and it travels well in a bag. No two chevron pieces carry the same pattern, so the one you see is the one you get. If you are buying for someone born in February, it is a quieter alternative to a deep purple cluster. It also makes a good first chevron amethyst for a new collector.
Chevron amethyst is a banded intergrowth of purple amethyst and white quartz that forms V shaped chevrons. It is also called dream amethyst, and it comes from India, Brazil and several African countries. Like all quartz it is hard and durable.
Stone Meaning: Chevron amethyst is traditionally associated with courage and inner strength.
