About Peacock Ore

Chalcopyrite is a brass yellow copper iron sulfide and long the most important ore of copper. Acids can give it a red, blue and purple iridescent tarnish, and much chalcopyrite sold as peacock ore is acid treated.

Stone Meaning: Peacock ore is traditionally associated with happiness and joy.
