This tumbled grossular garnet shows the soft green side of the garnet family, a change from the more familiar deep red.
Keep one in a pocket or on your desk, place a few in a crystal grid, or add this stone to a garnet collection alongside red and orange varieties. Packs of five or ten work well for grids, workshops, small gifts and resale.
Each tumbled stone is about 1.3 inches. These stones come from Pakistan, and shade, shape and size vary from piece to piece, so yours will look a little different from the photos.
Grossular is the calcium aluminum member of the garnet group, with a hardness of about 6.5 to 7. Its name comes from grossularia, the botanical name for gooseberry, after a pale green garnet first described in Siberia. It also occurs in yellow, orange, reddish brown and pink.
Stone Meaning: Grossular garnet is traditionally associated with growth, cooperation and steady energy for new ventures.
