Rough amazonite in soft blue green, streaked with white, has a fresh, watery color that looks lovely wrapped in wire or scattered in a dish.
Wire wrap a chip into a pendant, glue a few into resin or mosaic projects, set them in a crystal grid, or tuck one into a gift bag. Five pieces give enough variety to pick the best color for each project.
Each chip is about 14 to 30 by 13 to 15 millimeters. These are natural rough stones from Brazil, so shape, size and color vary.
Amazonite is the green to blue green variety of microcline feldspar, often streaked with white. It has a hardness of about 6 to 6.5, and its color is thought to come from trace lead.
Stone Meaning: Amazonite is traditionally associated with calm and honest communication.
